The Parisian weather has few qualms about drenching its populace, so it's a good idea to have a few outings planned that are sure to remain warm and dry. Why not take your pick from your favorite Netflix series: the musée des Arts Forains, the Aquarium de Paris and the Musée Nissim de Camondo.

Le Musée
des Arts Forains

53
Av. des Terroirs de France
75012 Paris

When Emily's agency has to organize a chic—but very stressful—evening for the luxury jewelry brand Fourtier, they decide to hire the Théâtre du Merveilleux (nestled in the Pavillons de Bercy).

So, if you're feeling nostalgic, indulge yourself at the Musée des Arts Forains, in the Bercy district, by transporting yourself a century back in time into a magical world of wooden horses, German swings and heavy red tones.

At the museum, you can wander around and enjoy an organ, a ballroom, a brasserie, a carousel and of course various attractions such as the legendary waiters' race from the series. Everything has been restored to perfection. And if Emily was wowed by the splendor of the Belle Époque, why not you?

Step 2

L'Aquarium
de Paris

5
Av. Albert de Mun
75016 Paris

If there is one outing that is open to “children of all ages”, whether they admit it or not, it’s an aquarium. It can also be an ultra-romantic spot and in Plan Coeur, Elsa Payet (Zita Hanrot), a young bumbling employee of the Paris City Hall, makes no mistake by taking a handsome boy there on a date, where she outlines the tumultuous life of clown fish…

What really sets the Aquarium de Paris apart? Perhaps it is that the Aquarium de Paris is an informal environmental education institution, at once scientific, educational and fun, whose mission is not only to uncover the magic of life, but also to raise awareness of maritime and marine ecosystem preservation issues.

The Aquarium houses around fifty tanks, totaling 4 million liters of water, including the large 3 million liter tank, around 13,500 fish and invertebrates from the seas of mainland France and overseas, including 35 large sharks and 400 colonies of exuberantly colored corals. This establishment presents the largest collection of jellyfish outside of Japan with 24 tanks where 50 species are presented in a hypnotic ballet of light and movement.

OUR TIP

Ideally located in the heart of Trocadéro, it is the perfect starting point when planning to follow up with a visit to the Eiffel Tower or the Palais de Tokyo.

Step 3

Le Musée Nissim
de Camondo

63
Rue de Monceau
75008 Paris

In season 1, Assane (Omar Sy) orchestrates his revenge against the wealthy Pellegrini family, who had in the past sent his father to prison unjustly for the theft of a Marie-Antoinette necklace. It turns out that the luxurious family mansion—where Assane spent part of his adolescence—is actually the little-known Nissim de Camondo museum, attached to Parc Monceau, the seat of another French high society family.

Here we can find a rare collection of furniture and art objects from the 18th century, with an architecture inspired by the Petit Trianon in Versailles. This collection was assembled at the beginning of the 20th century by the banker Moïse de Camondo (father of Nissim) before becoming a museum upon his death in 1935. Sèvres porcelain, silverware from Catherine the Great, Necker's portrait… It's just like taking a trip through time.
